Transition - Act 1
This series was created to acknowledge the changes and differences in the coastal drama over the course of one day by harnessing the power of time passing by the sea.
The transition of time and space by the sea, before, after a while, currently, now, subsequently and afterward is never the same, not for one minute. Time is never repeated, the script never re-spoken and moments never standstill as periods of ever-changing states energetically embraces the space from dawn to dusk and all the hours between, with each minute being transformed and renewed.
These images were taken on the same day in the amphitheatre of coastal light at the hours of 6.00am, midday and late afternoon. The early morning breath of a breeze secretly whispering; the seagrasses stoically waving from a sandbank and protecting the beach from the swell of the tides, delivering hypnotic and trancelike repetitions; thunderous storms droning menacingly with skylines and clouds creating curtains for the ever-changing stage performance. A denouement? hardly , tomorrow is another story…
